SR Hotel Management announced today the addition of support service contracts for nine new hotels to its Florida portfolio.
This new group of properties are located in Niceville, Panama City, Fleming Island, Palatka, Middleburg and Gainesville, Florida, and include the Holiday Inn Express, Quality Inn, Hampton and Best Western hotel brands. The company already manages Hampton Inn hotels in Port Richey and Spring Hill, and is working with owners to develop new Fairfield Inn & Suites products in the Brooksville and Crystal River markets.
A Portfolio Of Hotels, Few Owners, Is Key To Growth Strategy.
SRHM believes that successful growth will come through trusting and long-term relationships with a few, select ownership groups. “By concentrating our relationships, we can act as business stewards to a handful of owners, rather than touch-and-go reporters to a distribution list.”
Presently, the management company’s collection includes fifteen hotels with three owners. “Our relationship with two of the ownership entities spans more than ten years,” said Don Bishop, SRHM’s founder and ceo. “We have earned their trust, and work very hard to continue to earn it, and that’s what we call a successful partnership.”
SR Hotel Management touts “The SRHM Way” as the value proposition behind every management contract. It’s not enough to just ensure franchise standards and liaison with brand organizations. Those are price-of-entry services that can be provided by every hotel management operation. SRHM created distinction in the management arena by developing proprietary processes and products in each of its disciplines, elevating the management and stay experience for owners, associates and guests. “What we know is that it is important to attract people (owners and guests), but creating PREFERENCE is what brings people back. “The SRHM Way” is designed with preference as our reason-for-being.”
The team at SR Hotel Management is satisfied to focus on the Select Service category… for now. By remaining focused, the company can build a core expertise, without spreading itself too thin to maintain optimal hotel performance and owner confidence. There will likely come a time when SRHM will acquiesce to requests to venture into the full-service world, but it is clear that it will be a timed and calculated move.
SR Hotel Management is the hospitality division of SRI Management, a manager of 31 senior housing communities across the southeastern and mid-atlantic United States. The company has been in business since 2000.
